About Us

The MooseSentry^TM appliance was created by the Moose Logic Team - a group of experienced professionals in the Seattle area (land of mountains, trees, jets, the Seafair Pirates, and those cool-looking unlimited hydroplanes that go fast and turn left) who were just plain tired of dealing with tape-based backup solutions, and knew there had to be a better way to protect their own - and their customers' - critical data.

Having been a Microsoft Partner since the mid-1990s, the Moose Team saw the potential in Microsoft's System Center Data Protection Manager, but also believed that smaller enterprises would be best served by a pre-packaged solution.

We believe that business of all sizes just want computer stuff that works, and doesn't require continual tinkering and endless service calls to keep it working. We've built our business around providing those kinds of computer networks, and providing maintenance and support plans that allow our customers to focus on running and growing their businesses while we focus on keeping their critical systems running.

For too long, backups have been a pain to administer and a source of sleeplessness: Are the backup tapes really good, or are they worn out from repeated use and unreliable? Is the tape drive being cleaned regularly? Are the tapes being changed daily? Are they being rotated off-site weekly like they're supposed to be? Is the backup window extending into the next day and hurting network performance?

Finally, we can offer a solution that, once it's properly set up, is actually a pleasure to manage! It's reliable, it gives you incredible granularity in your choice of restore points, and it can get a copy of your data out of the building automatically. We all sleep better at night, and we can enjoy vistas like the one above without worrying about what might be going wrong while we're not looking!
